Wow what a great passed week! We did so many things!!

Wow what a great passed week! We did so many things!!
What a great time to pass the holiday season in another country!
Its so weird, all the traditions that just arent here! I mean when people think Christmas here, they think about going to the beach or the pool. All the commercials are always talking about things for the yard, and the heat. But its december! haha. Its crazy. My mind hasnt wrapped around tthe idea yet!

But we had changes today! I am now with Elder Sosa from Honduras! I really hope Im with latinos all my mission. i would learn so much more spanish! My companion right now is really funny and we have had a good day so far!
As far as the weekend went, We had a White Christmas here in Chile with a baptism!! All white baby! It was so great. We baptised a man named Aquiles, whos wive had died recently and he found peace in his heart. He has a little bit of a diffulcult time going into the water so we had to do it a couple times, but it all worked out. it was a wonderful day (:
All the members here really took care of us! We received some different gifts, and had tons of food during Christmas! It was just such a happy good time (: Also it was amazing too be able to talk to the family! Wow what a joy and privaliige it is to hear your own Mom and dads voices, and all the cousins and brothers and other family and friends after almost 6 months!! Its amazing how once we are away from something for so long, and then we partake in it again, its so amazing! You wouldve never thought that talking to your family would be so important and heart felt! So thank you guys for lifitng my spirits even more, and allowing me to talk to you all (: I also had to say goodbye to some missionaries who are going home! That was pretty hard (:
The mission is going amazing! Im having so much fun just giving my life up for the Lord! I couldnt ask for anything else right now! You guys are seriously the best support with the emails, the letters, the packages, and most importantly the prayers! I can feel them every day!
Just keep doing you best up there in the states, and dont take the gift of life for granted! At home, we are so fortunate to have the things that we have! Down here,, many people have nothing! One day this week there was a lady digging through the trash cans of our apartment for food. We had literally nothing in the apartment besides a big thing of Cookies. My companion looked at me and said we have to give these to her. I was like but Elder, they are cookies, they arent good for you and what is she going to do with them. My companion looked at me and said: Elder, when you are hungry, food is food. Wow, I dont know why but it just really hit me hard. This poor lady probably doesnt even know its christmas and probably has no family, and just wants food. So we gave it to her, and she said thanks and carried on. I just felt so great even though we gave her cookies.  im going to try to keep better track of all the things we do! We do so many things like that almost every day! The mission is just about serving others. Ill try to write down more experiances like that!
But hey have a great week!!
I will write again next week!
Love you all!
Con amor,
Elder McGee

Hey hey heyyyy Christmas time baby (:

I can't believe this week is Christmas! It certainly doesn't feel like Christmas. (: It's like 100 degrees every day! I'm getting tan, everyone goes to the pools, and somehow you guys have snow and have Christmas? I feel like I just got released from school and I'm enjoying summer, baby! No way it can be December and Christmas!

It's pretty crazy that I can talk to you guys in like two days!! Wooo! My companion and I were thinking we are going to call in the afternoon. Like 2-ish or 4-ish. I'm not exactly sure right now. I'm sorry I can't give you exact hours! But you guys are three hours behind me... So we will just figure it out. Haha. I never like having set plans, anyways.. (: Honestly, I'm really nervous to talk! I feel like I have changed so much (for the good) and it's just gonna be weird! Haha. But I'm also super excited!!

Wow! This week was amazing! We taught so many lessons on just how to enjoy the Spirit and what Christmas really means! What a great time to take all my hurt, and missing of the family and technology and home and shove it into these peoples faces that I left everything to be with them. That's one of my favorite things to do if I am having a hard time, just bare my testimony boldly and solidly that I am here for a reason: I left everything I was, my parents, and siblings, and family, and Macbook, and iPhone, and making videos, and hanging out with friends to just give myself to the Lord. I can testify that I have not felt a greater joy in my life. What I have experienced is not something you can buy or just obtain. It's something you have to work diligently and obediently for. It takes long hours of studying, praying, and giving up bad habits to just put your whole self into the hands of God and let Him control you. It's seriously the best!! (:

The hermanas (sisters) in our ward had two baptisms back to back this weekend! We had a lot of fun setting up for those, while setting up for different Christmas parties in the ward, and all that good stuff. The ward Christmas party was fun! They just played some Michael Buble the whole night! It was really fun, and I danced around and harmonized with the grandmas of the ward. (: Gotta share the love somehow!

I sang in choir this past Sunday. We practiced and practiced and practiced! Somehow during the meeting on Sunday, it came out really well because everyone was like, "Wow! You guys are good!" I didn't know I could sing at all. I can at least get the notes out. (:

We had an awesome lesson with our investigator, Aquiles, this past week! It's awesome! He's just the coolest old man ever! He says 'yes' to everything and then prays about it and receives answers. (:

Last night was so great! We went over to one member's house who is just like my grandma here in Chile. She's just great! She had some really deep questions about the Church and deep Gospel stuff. Somehow I knew exactly what to say and just taught by the Spirit with power! It was a miracle!

I'm having such a blast here in Chile! Im safe, and happy, so yeah. (: What more could you want??
I'm excited to talk on Wednesday!! I love you all!
Have an awesome Christmas!!
Love, Elder McGee (:

Hey whats up family!!!

Hey what's up family!!!
This week has been great! Sorry, I don't have much time to write this week! But this week we had an activity for Christmas. It was great having three zones together! That's like 100 people or so.

We played sports all day, and had musical shows, and watched some awesome Christmas videos. I wanted to make some awesome videos after that. (:

I got sick the next day because I was out in the sun and exercising all day and eating tons of food. So Sunday and today were pretty hard because the mission doesn't stop. That's the best part. It doesn't matter if your throwing up, and don't have anyone to take care of you, you keep going and pushing through. You just pray that you'll get better soon. So, I kept going and sharing my testimony with everyone even though I didn't have the energy to walk... (:

The evangelist music here in Spanish is awesome. I've been enjoying it lately. (:  Yesterday, we had church for one hour because it was a voting day! The woman won, so theres a woman president in Chile which is cool.

Our investigator, Aquelis is doing awesome. (: We are going to try to baptize him on Christmas which would be a White Christmas if you know what I mean. Because it's 100 degrees here, and the only white thing around here is our shirts, and baptismal pants. (:  He's doing awesome though! We taught him about the Word of Wisdom and he just said he would do it, and he didn't argue, instead he asked us what he could drink and eat. It was funny, but he's just a cute old man. (:

We also have another investigator who has tons of money!! He's loaded. He has a pool in his front yard. He first told us that he doesn't need anything else in this life, and that everything is good. We then explained that he is missing the Gospel in his life. He's is highly interested in the church, because who wouldn't be? My favorite thing to say in each and every testimony I give, nearly crying of the Spirit is just to say that this church is the reason for my smile. It's the reason I get up every day, and its the reason I leave my family to be with you guys this Christmas season.
Everyone, just remember as you are buying your Christmas presents that this season is really about Jesus Christ. You can hear that 1000 times but until you really sit down and think about what this season is about, you're not going to feel it. I give you all a challenge to do something for someone. It doesn't matter what it is, just go out of your path one day and do something awesome for someone. (:

Okay, I have to go.  I love you all.  You are the best support (: Especially Michael who has sent me by far the most letters. (:  Chau!!

Love,

Elder McGee

Wow, its a blazing 95 degrees here!

Wow, it's a blazing 95 degrees here! I'm getting tan, I see there's tons of snow there! It's hard to imagine that everyone I know and love is freezing right now, while I'm dying of heat every night with the fan on full blast and the windows open!!

I'm so excited to be able to talk to the family on Christmas! (: Its only like three weeks away!! I can't believe its already December, I feel like you all just told me about your Halloween stories!! (:

This week absolutely flew by!!  Our investigator, Aquelis is doing awesome! He came to church again this week, and it was absolutely amazing to see his face light up and feel the Holy Ghost in church. (: We had a lesson with this one guy who said it wasn't possible to have the gift of tongues. I looked at him in the eyes, and asked him if it was possible to learn a language and teach with power in three months. I bore testimony of the power God has given me to learn the language of the people here. I don't remember what I said, because it definitely wasn't me talking.
We had one extremly successful day, finding two families to teach! It was awesome! So many people need to hear this special message!!

Mom sent me a Christmas package, so we enjoyed some good Christmas stuff, my companion and I! I also bought a little Christmas tree, and some people gave us some ornaments, I'll send a picture next week. (:  I have found a way to continue making videos and it is in harmony with the mission rules, so you guys will see some videos here shortly. (:

My challenge for the week, is to read some of the Book of Mormon, and then think of someone you could give it too. I want to give out 150 in my mission. (: I think you could at least do one. (: It's the coolest book ever. I testify of its truthfulness and coolness. (:

Well, that's about all this week! Just know that I'm safe and loving it here in Chile!! I want each of you to know how much I love you! You are all in my prayers daily. Thank you all for your prayers. I can totally feel them. I have the best support system ever. (:

Diciembra already??? Wooo!

Aquí estamos tan cerca a navidad!
Estoy super animado para hablar con ustedes tan pronto!

Diciembra already??? Wooo!
We are going to buy a small little Christmas tree for the apartment! Some people gave us ornaments, and lights. (:

I had a pretty great week!
So remember Aquelis from last week?
Well he came to church yesterday! Oh yeahhh! This man is super ready. I bore solid testimony to him this past week of the importance of going to church. It's amazing how people respond when they understand the importance of going to church every Sunday. Because they usually end up going the next week. (:

Wow, yesterday was probably one of the most powerful experiences I've had on the mission so far. We went into these peoples' house. And something was definitely going on between them. We totally picked up on it, and decided to just try to help them with their marriage problems. So it was going awesome, and then it was my turn to speak, and I had no idea where my words came from. I honestly didn't know that I knew these words in Spanish. It was truly a miracle for me because I said everything I wanted to say with clarity. I spoke of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the incredible power behind forgiveness. Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, and went below all of us. He felt things that we will never experience in this life. So if you are having problems, lift your head up, and smile because Jesus knows how you feel. I testify of that. He knows everything you go through, so give him your all.

This week was my first week that my heart was broken by an investigator! She progressed so much, and was so ready to be baptized, until she called us this week, and said she didn't want visits from us. Wow. I gave her my everything, and I was rejected. It was a hard day, but you can only pick up and press forward. Siguir Adelante.

I also got to go up to Santiago this past week to get my visa. It was really fun, we were super lost and I decided to pray, and somehow I knew the way to get where we needed to go in downtown Santiago!

Anyways, that's it for this week, I don't have any more time. (: So, I love you all,
Keep going strong. Sounds like everyone had a good turkey day -- we did too -- my comp and I, because they don't celebrate that here!

Love you all,
